CC100 Speedster Concept Car marks the 100th Year of Aston Martin
Aston Martin is celebrating the 100th year with the Unveiling of CC100 Speedster at the Nurburgring Race Track in Germany. The CC100 Speedster pay tribute to the Le Mans Race winning 1959 Aston Martin DBR1 Race car. The design of CC100 is inspired of the 1959 DBR1 Race car and also we can see future design elements of Aston Martin. Interior of the CC100 speedster is very futuristic which has bucket seats, a racing inspired center console and a TFT Display which replaces the traditional instrument cluster.
Unlike other concept cars this is a fully working prototype model. Aston Martin boss Ulrich Bez took the CC100 Speedster around the Nurburing for a Hot lap which was followed by a DBR1 driven by None other than Sir Stirling Moss. Ulrich Bez said that “CC100 is the epitome of everything that is great about Aston Martin. It represents our fantastic sporting heritage, our exceptional design capability, our superb engineering know-how and, above all, our adventurous spirit”
CC100 speedster is based on the V12 Vantage Platform. CC100 speedster is built within 6 months of time. Body and interior are completely made from Carbon fiber material to keep the weight down. CC100 Speedster is 4 and half meters long and 2 meters wide. Aston Martin CC100 Speedster is powered by the new generation AM11 Naturally aspirated 6.0 L V12 petrol engine which is mated to a 6 speed automated sequential manual transmission with paddle shift behind the steering wheel. CC100 Speedster hit 0-100 in less than 4 seconds and Top speed is limited to 290 Kmph.
