Audi A3 to be priced below RS 25 lakhs and launch in 2014

A3 sedan is the most important product launch for Audi in India. Success of the A3 sedan will secure the number one position for Audi. Globally Audi unveiled the A3 sedan couple of months back. European production has just began only. A3 sedan is based on the A3 hatchback. India will get the A3 sport back later in 2014 as Audi thinks that the Indian market is still not matured to accept luxury hatch backs.

Michael Perschke, Head of Audi India spoke to Car & Bike show editor siddharth Vinayak patankar about the plans of the A3 sedan and the pricing. This year Audi is concentrating on the cut price Q3 which will hit our market pretty soon with an Ex-showroom price of RS 24-25 lakhs. Audi will launch the A3 sedan next year in India. Micheal Persckhe said that the A3 sedan will be priced below RS 25 lakhs. Audi will bring the Diesel and petrol variants to India. Audi A3 sedan will compete with the likes of Mercedes CLA, A class and BMW 1 series.
