Volkswagen Polo 1.2 TSI caught on testing.Volkswagen has already introduced polo 1.6 in India.But then they discontinued the Polo 1.6 because of poor sales.Rising of petrol prices caused the decline of sales of petrol powered cars.Performance hatch back segment in India is very small.

Now Volkswagen India is testing the Polo 1.2 TSI.Recently Overdrive has seen polo 1.2 TSI testing in the Mumbai-Pune express highway.Polo 1.2 TSI has GT badge on the Rear and a rear roof spoiler.1.2 TSI engine is more suited for India.Volkswagen can also get excise duty benefits for the small engine.

1.2 TSI engine has direct injection and turbo charger for increasing the power upto 104 BHP @ 5000 RPM and Torque of 175 NM @ 1500 RPM.0-100 km takes only 9.7 seconds making Polo the fastest hatch back in India.Top speed is 190 Kmph.This engine gives 18.9 Kmpl.So the performance wont burn your money.We can expect this engine to debut on the top end variant.Volkswagen will launch the Polo 1.2 TSI in the coming months.This will help Volkswagen to get good numbers for the Polo.
